Samba, October 2On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Jal Shakti Department, PHE Division Samba, organised a plantation drive at T-Well No. 2, Samba, under the Jal Jeevan Mission – Reform Utsav / Jal Arpan Diwas initiative.The programme was led by Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti PHE Division Samba, Sh. Surinder Mohan. Officers and officials of the department, including the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Samba Civil, and the concerned Junior Engineer (JE), participated in the plantation drive.During the programme, saplings were planted at the T-Well premises with the message of promoting environmental protection, cleanliness and sustainable development. The officials highlighted the importance of increasing green cover and protecting the environment along with ensuring effective implementation of water-related schemes.The event also reflected the spirit of Gandhian values of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and community participation. The officers and staff reaffirmed their commitment towards public service and the objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
