Union Minister Jitendra Singh spoke at the 18th Civil Services Day and shared key updates about governance and reforms.
Jitendra Singh Civil Services Day Highlights Awards Growth
During his speech, the minister said that entries for Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence have increased a lot.
He said entries rose from 1,216 in 2023 to 1,588 in 2024 and reached 2,035 in 2025.
He said this shows more participation from districts across the country.
Jitendra Singh Civil Services Day Digital Governance Progress
Jitendra Singh also spoke about digital platforms like iGOT Karmayogi.
He said more than 88 lakh officials have joined the platform and are using over 2,000 courses.
He also shared that grievance system CPGRAMS now handles 25–30 lakh complaints every year, with over 95% cases solved.
Jitendra Singh Civil Services Day Key Reforms
The minister said the government is moving towards better governance systems.
He explained that there is a shift from rule-based to role-based working and from individual work to institutional work.
He also said around 2,000 old rules have been removed to improve efficiency.

Jitendra Singh said that programmes like Mission Karmayogi will be expanded further.
He said the aim is to prepare civil servants for future challenges and improve public service.
