Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined the Nasha-Mukt J&K campaign in Pulwama on 19th May 2026, declaring an all-out war against the narco-terror nexus. Warning drug peddlers, he said, “We will hunt you down even in your deepest hideouts. Our mission is not just arrests but the complete destruction of the narco-terror empire.”The LG highlighted that the long-standing silence in J&K has broken into a collective outcry against drugs. In Pulwama alone, over 11,000 local events were held recently, 48 FIRs registered, and 56 traffickers arrested. Since 11th April, 897 smugglers have been arrested statewide, passports of 18 traffickers recommended for cancellation, 386 vehicles deregistered, and 49 properties seized. Calling drug money a fuel for terrorism, LG Sinha said, “Every deal a drug peddler makes not only wrecks a young life but also finances the killing of innocents.” He added that 3.93 lakh awareness programs have been held across J&K, 6,646 village women’s committees and 2,997 youth clubs formed, and over 52,000 patients treated in de-addiction facilities.Urging citizens to stay vigilant, he said, “Stopping one peddler saves a life, and every life saved weakens terror in the valley.”#NashaMuktJK #LGManojSinha #Pulwama #SayNoToDrugs #WarOnDrugs #JKAdministration
