District Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir
Reasi, 13 September 2026:
A meeting was held at Guru Ravi Dass Ji Bhawan, Reasi, on Sunday, 13 September 2026, with the participation of members, speakers and representatives of various social, religious, community Sabhas, sects and organisations of District Reasi.
The meeting focused on the current social and political scenario of Jammu & Kashmir, along with important issues concerning the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC).
During the deliberations, participants emphasised the importance of social unity, coordination, constitutional awareness and collective representation. Representatives and members of different Sabhas / Sects of District Reasi actively participated and shared their views.
After detailed deliberations, the participants discussed the need for a common and inclusive platform for SC, ST and OBC communities, bringing together different community organisations and Sabhas to work collectively for:
- Social unity and brotherhood
- Educational awareness and empowerment
- Constitutional awareness
- Protection and promotion of constitutional rights
- Youth participation and leadership
- Social welfare and community development
The participants unanimously agreed to establish a new organisation under the name and style of:
YUVA AMBEDKAR SABHA (YAS)
District Reasi
The organisation will work with a united, responsible, transparent and democratic approach, respecting all communities and promoting equality, social justice, education, constitutional values and the welfare and progress of society. A team was of YUVA AMBEDKAR SABHA (YAS) was constituted in which
Sh. Charan Dass was nominated as chairman, Adv. Deepak Atri as president, Sh. Puran Chand, Sh. Mohd. Akram, Sh. Jugal Kotwal, Sh. Bishan Dass, Sh. Vimal Kumar, Sh. Jugal Kishori Ji, Naresh Kumar as vice-presidents and Sh. Vaneet Panjgotra as General secretary.
All participants expressed their commitment to work together with new responsibility, transparency, accountability and collective leadership for the welfare, empowerment and progress of SC, ST and OBC communities.
The participants further resolved to encourage the younger generation to become educated, organised, socially responsible and aware of their constitutional rights and duties.The meeting concluded with a strong message of unity, equality, social justice, brotherhood and constitutional values, inspired by the vision and contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The members those participated in the conference includes Adv.
