Udhampur Police Attaches ₹71 Lakh Property of Doda Drug Peddler Under NDPS Act

Udhampur, 2026: In a major crackdown under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Udhampur Police has attached immovable property worth ₹71 lakh belonging to drug peddler Jawaz Ahmed Wani of Akramabad, Doda. The action was taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 32/2026 registered at Police Station Rehambal under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act.During investigation, police found that the accused had acquired the property from proceeds of illicit narcotics trade. The property has now been seized for further legal proceedings. Udhampur Police reaffirmed its firm commitment to intensify action against drug peddlers and safeguard youth from the drug menace. The department is simultaneously running awareness drives while taking strict legal action under NDPS Act.
