Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Meeting Held by DC
Monsoon preparedness Reasi was reviewed by Deputy Commissioner Kumar Abhishek on April 16 in Reasi.
A meeting was held with officers to check readiness for the coming rainy season. Many officials from different departments attended the meeting.
Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Focus on Vulnerable Areas
Kumar Abhishek asked officers to identify all vulnerable places in the district. He said proper steps must be taken before heavy rains start.
He directed that machines should be placed in these areas so that quick action can be taken during any emergency.
Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Machinery and Response Plan
The DC told departments like GRIF, PWD and PMGSY to keep enough machines ready. He said quick response during rain-related problems is very important.
All departments were asked to stay in contact with Sub-Divisional Magistrates for fast action.
SDRF teams were also told to stay ready for emergency situations.
Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Basic Services
Kumar Abhishek asked for reports on bridges and culverts that need cleaning and repair.
He also directed the PHE Department to make sure people get safe drinking water during the rainy season.
Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Development Review
The DC also checked progress of different development works in the district.
He reviewed the District Capex Budget 2025–26 and ongoing works under Jal Shakti, PWD, and other schemes.
Monsoon Preparedness Reasi Planning for Future
Officers were told to finalize land before starting new works. The DC said all work should be done on state land and finished on time.
He also asked officers to prepare the development plan for 2026–27 with help of Gram Sabhas.
The meeting was attended by several officers including ADDC, ADCs, SDMs, BDOs, and department officials.
