Omar Abdullah SCC jersey launch took place in Jammu on April 17 during a special event.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah unveiled the jersey of Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Club (SCC) in the presence of officials and club members.

During the event, Omar Abdullah appreciated the role of the cricket club in promoting sports among youth.
He said that the government is committed to support sports activities and help young players grow in Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister Satish Sharma and Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani were also present at the event.

SCC President Aman Cheema shared details about the club’s achievements. He said the club has won many tournaments and is helping youth stay engaged in positive activities.
He also said that sports can help keep young people away from problems like drug abuse.

On the same occasion, Omar Abdullah also released a wildlife book titled Checklist of Mammals of Jammu and Kashmir India.
A team of wildlife experts led by Muzaffar Kichloo met the Chief Minister and shared details about their work.

The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the wildlife team. He said research and conservation are very important to protect animals and nature in the region.
He stressed the need to save biodiversity and support scientific studies in Jammu and Kashmir.
