Reasi, April 28: Reasi Police, under the supervision of SSP Reasi Sh. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, and in continuation of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, achieved another success in its sustained drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse by apprehending one person with heroin-like contraband substance at Panthal area of Katra.
On 28-04-2026, a police team deployed at PCP Panthal of Police Post Kakryal intercepted a suspicious vehicle bearing registration number JK02BD-9792, which was coming from Tikri side towards Panthal for routine checking. During thorough search of the vehicle and its occupant, police recovered 3.89 grams of heroin from the possession of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Hussain Mohd S/o Mohd Sultan S/o Late Saif Ali R/o Kheri Paroh, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi. He was immediately taken into custody on the spot.
In this regard, FIR No. 129/2026 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation has been set into motion to ascertain forward and backward linkages involved in the narcotics network.
The entire operation was carried out by 𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗦𝗜 𝗔𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮 and 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗼, under the close supervision of 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦, and 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵. 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗶, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.
